Internationally respected photojournalist John Alexanders' photographic work includes more than 25 years of worldwide location photography for advertising, annual report, corporate and editorial clients in the United States, Europe, North Africa and South America. Specialties include aerospace, people, medicine and architecture. John has been based out of New York City, Boston and San Diego.

John also is an award-winning television documentary producer & director. He was associate producer for NOVA at WGBH-TV in Boston, where he wrote, directed and produced several one-hour television documentaries on commercial and military aviation. Programs: Made in America: Planes; Stealth: Disguises of War; Can Bombing Win a War; Top Gun and Beyond; and Fastest Planes in the Sky.

Alexanders directed, produced and edited the documentaries Test Pilot and X-Planes for Aviation Week Video. He has served as producer, director and location supervisor for the Journal of Electronic Defense, and was honored with the Award of Excellence in broadcast journalism from the Aviation/Space Writers Association in 1994.

Alexanders was nominated for an EMMY in 1997 for Gibraltar on the Pacific, the documentary he directed, produced and scripted for KPBS-TV in San Diego, which traced political and economic evolution of the military in San Diego during the 20th Century.
